"Dance with My Father" is the RIAA Aureate-certified title rail to vocalizer and songwriter Luther Vandross' 13th studio album. With Richard Marx, Vandross wrote the song based on his personal experience. The lyrics call back babyhood memories with Vandross' male parent, who used to dance with him and his female parent.
